ABR®

Induction Date

For Curtis Hall, who calls himself a "real estate rainmaker," it’s about two things: marketing and restoring the lost art of customer service.

About the first he says, "Marketing is so much fun if you just get out of the box. Everything is a marketing opportunity!" As if to prove it, he uses a photo on his ice-covered face from an eight-day climb on Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, on a reflective lawn sign for his listings in the Arizona desert.

About the second, he says "We’ve been inundated with all this technology and we are losing that belly-to-belly, toe-to-toe opportunity to work with our clients." The self-proclaimed Single Agency Practitioner proves that by working with both buyers and seller, but on a business-by-referral-only basis with an intense devotion to full disclosure and attention to his clients on both sides of the transaction. Every buyer-client signs an Exclusive Buyer Broke Employment Agreement.

Curtis Hall was in on the ground floor of the buyer representation movement in 1989. He co-authored the ABR®  designation course, "The train was coming and you had to get on," and is still a REBAC  Senior Instructor. He teaches more than 100 classes each year nationally on agency, contracts, marketing, and environmental law. He currently has twenty video training programs running on three national real estate networks. He’s a sought-after educational presenter at real estate conventions across the nation. He serves on a number of industry-related committees and is actively involved in dispute resolution, grievance, and professional standards, frequently acting as an expert witness in real estate-related lawsuits. He participated in the drafting of this standard agreement for the Arizona Association of REALTORS® in 1995, and in the revision of the form in 2000. He received a Distinguished Service Award from RE/MAX International in 1996.
