Originally from Chicago, Peggy began her real estate career as an Assistant for several of the state’s top real estate agents in Jackson, MS for three years. Upon moving to Clarksville, TN, she got a job offer as an assistant to an Agent/Owner at the closing table for her new home. This gave her a good foundation for satisfying buyers as she was the sympathetic ear when they had issues. As an Assistant, she was able to apply her organizational skills and learn how buyer contracts should be written. Today, she still has information about any of her buyers at her fingertips. Her husband and one son have joined her as REALTORS®. Another son is her bookkeeper and computer expert.
When she felt her boys were old enough to be at home alone, she earned her real estate license. She is celebrating 13 years in helping buyers. While she will list a home now and then for friends or past clients, she will normally only work with buyers.
Clarksville, TN is the home of Fort Campbell; the Army’s third-largest base. The majority of her sales are buyers utilizing a VA loan. Many are first-time buyers. “A military family’s needs are different since they are normally under a tight deadline to find a home. They have enough stress in their life. My goal is to make their home buying a stress-free experience.”
Peggy’s credentials through the National Association of REALTORS® include being an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) and a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). She also earned the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certification. She believes the additional education allows her to better understand and meet the needs of her clients.
As a buyer’s agent, Peggy enjoys helping people find their dream home. “I like seeing the families excited about turning a house into their home. It’s also a joy to see the children run around the house and pick out their bedrooms.”
She has continuously been one of the top buyer's agents in the market although she is a brokerage owner and trainer for new buyer’s agents. In this position, she encourages the agents to work towards their ABR® designation.
She has volunteered on several committees at the Clarksville Association of REALTORS® over the years. She is most passionate about the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and continues to serve on the Professional Standards Committee. Peggy is a Life Member of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries.
