TWD & Associates

One of the visionaries who created the Real Estate BUYER’S AGENT Council (REBAC), Tom Dooley served as its chairman and CFO until it was acquired by NAR in 1996. "Up to the early 19990s," says Dooley, "sellers knew who represented them but buyers often didn’t know if they were being represented or, if so, by whom." He credits the increasingly sophisticated consumer and a little industry foresight with changing all that.

In his capacity as president of TWD & Associates, consultants to the Real Estate Profession, Dooley continues to serve REBAC as senior consultant. He brings with him four decades of service to the real estate industry, consulting with every major national real estate franchise and mega brokerage along with hundreds of local and regional independent brokerage firms along the way. Currently he has a specialization in the valuation of real estate brokerage firms. A prolific author, he has written or co-written six industry books, including Real Estate Confronts Reality, which was rated a number one best seller among real estate titles by amazon.com. He has also written more than 250 magazine and journal articles and is the editor of three industry newsletters.

As an educator, Dooley was the Director of the Graduate School of Management for Lewis University, where he also taught graduate classes in management and marketing. He holds degrees from Thomas More College, the University of Toronto, and Xavier University. The father of four, and grandfather of six, Dooley has been married to Loraine for 46 years.
